About Nesli

Dear wine lover,

My name is N. Neslihan Ivit, but everybody calls me “Neslie”. I am a wine professional with a science background focused in winemaking with a passion in wine communication.

I was born and raised in Izmir, and studied in Europe. I hold an international Master of Science diploma in Viticulture and Enology and a WSET level 3 certificate. I have lived in many different wine growing countries, including Turkey, France, Spain, Chile and USA, before settling down in Canada years ago.

Travelling and living in different countries thought me many things; the most important ones are to be flexible and to speak 4 more languages fluently.

And why Wines of Nesli? This blog is simply my wine diary that I am sharing with you. Because I believe that the experiences and knowledge become meaningful only when I write about them, and even more meaningful when you read them. So, thank you very much for being here, and reading my blog.

Please feel free to contact me for anything you have in mind about wine, I would be glad to listen.

Cheers,

Nesli

  1. Beautiful blog! You have a really impressive background. We moved to Napa Valley two years ago and trying to learn as fast as we can about wines. I have both US and Spain citizenship so have spent many years in Europe as well as California. I love wines from everywhere. 2. Hi Nesli! You have very beautiful blog and your experiences are amazing! You are the best! :-)))
I´m studying viticultures in Czech republic and I really like this brunch. I would like to go to get some experiences and practice, mainly in USA – California. It´s my dream. I would like to learn everything about wine and vineyard.
Is it possible to receive from you some advice, how I should start or where I should search any information? Or any your personal experience, please?

Thank you very much for your answer!
I wish you the best :)
